You
can be that hero you want to be, irrespective of where you find yourself,
whether they call it slum, ghetto or even a trash can, because in every
nonsense you can always fashion out sense. All you have to do is picture the
hero you want to be, believe you be it and simply work towards it.
So
many times, I hear people say and think, how can I be that man/hero? I am
nobody from down town, no one to stand by or lend a helping hand, no trust
fund, blah blah blah. Well, if you ask me what I have to say to that, I will simply
tell you to hell with those things you don’t have. Look inside of you and
around you, and behold the potential you have for greatness and success. No wonder
Albert Einstein said "Imagination
is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination
embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to
evolution." all you need is to
imagine/dream and follow that dream. You can only make a difference with your
dream and not with your knowledge because nobody shares you dream. Whereas,
countless people have that same knowledge you have even better than you. Testimonies
abound of people who make it not because of their knowledge but rather because
of their dreams including Einstein who while lost in a musical piece when he
discovered E =MC2 also Bill Gate was day dreaming and looking
through the window when the idea of windows operating system came to him. My dear
reader this is not to rule out knowledge rather, I am saying knowledge alone is
not sufficient.
It is also important to note here that dreaming alone without action
will not do you any good. Therefore, you have to summon your courage, grab the
pieces, solve the puzzle and walk your way to the top. Because that future you
are waiting for is here now, as a matter of fact, some are running behind
schedule, because the future started the moment we were born, you just didn’t
realize it and you lost yourself in the “ we are the leaders of tomorrow” when
already the tomorrow is now, it is today.
My dear reader, if you want to be that man, hero, whatever you want to
be, the time is now, it’s got to be now or never, seize the opportunity of
countless possibilities that lay before you, and be that hero, that leader,
that man, father, mother, engineer, doctor, musician, artist, entrepreneur,
whatever you want to be, now is the time, you can afford to waste time because
the future started yesterday and tomorrow is starting now. All it requires of
you is to dream, focus and be bold enough to take that step towards success.
